Everything you need for a quick edit
Open a photo in PS Online and choose Filter › Camera Raw Filter (Shift Ctrl/⌘ A). You'll find the controls you know:
- Light: Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites and Blacks
- Color: Temperature, Tint, Vibrance and Saturation
- Presence: Texture, Clarity and Dehaze
- Curve: a point curve for overall and per-channel tone
- Color Grading: separate wheels for shadows, midtones and highlights
- Detail: Sharpening and Noise Reduction
- Effects: Grain and vignetting
Keep it non-destructive
Choose Layer › Smart Objects › Convert to Smart Object before opening the filter. Camera Raw is then applied as a smart filter: double-click it in the Layers panel to change any slider later, mask it to just part of the image, or turn it off to compare.
Smart filters and Camera Raw settings are saved in the PSD, so you can keep editing the document later. See the online PSD editor.
Works with phone photos
iPhone photos come as HEIC. PS Online opens HEIC files directly, so you can grade a phone shot and export a JPEG without converting it first. High-bit-depth TIFF files from scanners and cameras open as well.
After the grade
Finish with Content-Aware Fill to remove distractions, then File › Export › Export As to save a JPEG or WebP at the size you need.
