Remove anything in three steps
- Open the editor and drop in your photo.
- Draw a loose selection around the object with the Lasso tool (L). Include a little of the background around it.
- Choose Edit › Content-Aware Fill.
The fill is computed from the pixels around your selection, so textures like grass, sky, sand and walls continue naturally.
The whole retouching toolkit
Content-Aware Fill is great for large areas. For smaller fixes, use the tool that fits:
- Spot Healing Brush (J): click on dust, spots and blemishes; no sampling needed
- Healing Brush: Alt-click a clean source, then paint; blends texture and tone
- Patch tool, including Content-Aware mode: drag a selection to a clean area
- Content-Aware Move: move or extend an object and let the background fill in behind it
- Clone Stamp: copy pixels exactly when you need full control
Tip: do your retouching on a new empty layer with Sample All Layers turned on. Your original stays untouched and you can lower the opacity or mask the fix later.

Object-removal apps often blur the output or charge per image. PS Online runs entirely in your browser, exports at full resolution, and never uploads your photo. Pair it with background removal and the Camera Raw filter for a complete photo cleanup.
